Marion, NC
Tom Johnson Camping Center
One last stop for fuel in TN and then we were on our way. Why? The price goes up $.45 a gallon when we it NC! We will still have to fuel there but not as many times. Try to save money where we can.
It started raining while Bill was unhooking and kept a steady stream of drizzle all day. I think we are in for a few days of rain due to the tropical storm that is hitting the southeast. Bummer.
After 184 miles we pulled into the Tom Johnson Camping Center in Marion, NC. We have stayed here before and even had work done on the rig. Since the last time we were here they have become a Camping World. We liked their service department before but I don't know if anything has changed.
After getting setup we decided to go out to linner. There is a restaurant here called Fatz, it is a small chain but we like it. That is where we ate. I have a chicken pot pie and Bill had turkey and dressing. Both meals were good. After that we located the Walmart and picked up a few things, then took the scenic route back to the campground. That is not a route I would take in the rig.
It finally stopped raining for a bit and Bill went out and dumped the tanks, something he didn't do this morning due to the rain. We will not have to do that again until we reach the base. The air here is really heavy with moisture and I think we still have a few more days of it. Tomorrow is a short drive so we won't be in a big hurry to leave. Have a nice night.
