Petersburg, VA

Petersburg, VA
South Forty Campground.

It is going to be really hot today so we got on the road around 9:30.  Our first stop was fuel at the Walmart in Havelock.  It is a new station and they have diesel.  Then we started on our 200 mile drive.  Today's excitement was when some idiot pulled back on the highway from a dead stop on the side of the road right in front of us.  Bill slammed on the brakes and we missed going up his rear end by that much!  We saw him on the side of the road and it looked like he was starting to move but he didn't cross the line into traffic until we were right on his rear!  and he came on really slow.  How can people not see this big thing coming down the road?  We couldn't move over because of traffic.  I am happy nobody ran into our rear when we came to a stop.

We are staying a the South Forty Campground in Petersburg, VA.  We have never been here before but it is what we wanted for an overnight stay.  It is only 1/2 mile off the highway with easy in and out.  Here are some pics -

Even with the trees we were lucky enough to get satellite reception.  Site A7 is a good one.  As you can see, we left the car hooked up as we didn't need to go anywhere.  Tomorrow night we will unhook.

I made tacos for dinner and we just hung around watching shows we have recorded.  That was all for now.  Bye
