Yorba Linda, CA
Home
We originally planned to stay the night in Barstow but decided to go ahead and drive in today. The drive would total about 260 miles which is a long way for us. We did stop in Barstow at a little gas station we know of to get fuel. It was only $2.75 versus $3.10 everywhere else. Since it is in a big shopping center we were able to pull over and have a quick bite to eat before taking off.
We did hit traffic in Las Vegas but not too much and then again on the 15 and 91 around home. Ah, the traffic in Orange County! Time to get used to that again. Once home we started unpacking the rig. We got most of the stuff out but it looks like there are a few more things we need to get. It is hard to remember exactly what we took out and what was bought and what comes back inside. We have a campout in a couple of weeks so if there is anything else we will get it then. I also started the laundry at the house.
Lola went nuts when she got in the house. She was running all over the place and sniffing. She found a tennis ball we had and was chasing it. She does slide on the wooden floors if she goes too fast.
Yesterday I cancelled the mail forwarding and we spent some time going through the mail that was delivered. Thanks to our neighbor, Charlie, for putting it in the house. When you forward mail they don't stop the junk mail and occasionally a piece of real mail slips through. Nothing important though. Now we have to dust and vacuum the house.
I was tired after all that and didn't want to cook so we went up the street to Graziano's and had a salad and pizza for dinner. We have leftovers for lunch later this week. I have to hit the grocery store on Saturday or Sunday to get a few things. It is going to take about a week to get settled in again.
So that is all for now. I will post the totals for the trip later this week. Have a good one.
