Thursday, March 26

I put a meatloaf in the crockpot this morning. That, along with mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli will be out dinner tonight.

After getting dressed we did go out and work in the flower beds today. The dirt is soft and that makes pulling weeds easier. Around here yard trash has to be placed in special paper bags you get from the hardware store. It is picked up on trash day. That is a seasonal 5ing and hasn’t started yet so we can’t fill too many bags as we have to store them until pickup starts sometime in April. We did trim branches on one of the trees.  We plan on keeping those to burn in out fire pit after they dry out a bit.
After a couple of hours we stopped for the day. Don’t want to hurt our backs when going to the doctor is such a problem.

We watched a bit of television during the afternoon. We are suppose to have rain in the evening so and into the next couple of days so no garden work until next week.

Dinner turned out really good. I have gotten better at estimating how much meat to use and we usually only have enough leftovers for a couple of sandwiches.

We located a small bag of grass seed we had in the garage and decided to spread it out in the backyard. If it grows fine, if it doesn’t, fine. We are expecting rain for the next few days so we do t have to water it.

Our camping group finally cancelled the April and May camp outs. I wondered how long it would take them to do that. The parent group, FMCA, has already cancelled gatherings through the summer. I knew it was coming so we had not signed up to go.

Evening viewing was Amazon Prime watching Charlie Chan movies.

That is all for today.
