Friday, April 17

Today is forecast to be rainy. We tried to get dressed and take a walk before it started but didn’t make it. That means we had to do some exercises inside.  I used the stairs and chairs to do mine.

Nick made a quick stop on his way to a customer. He had purchased some masks for his workers from a friend and when he washed them He encountered a couple of issues. He brought them to me to see if I could fix them. The person who made them was just learning to sew and made a couple of mistakes but nothing I couldn’t fix. So while he worked I ironed them and mended them where needed. One of the biggest problems was that she used a material that frays easily and some of the seams were too close to the edge. I doubled up the seams and using a zigzag stick brought them together.  I finally found some elastic online that should be here next week so I can made a few more myself.

I fixed a new recipe for dinner tonight. It was chicken with mustard cream sauce. I served Parmesan orzo with it along with green beans. Here is a picture.

I really liked it. The sauce was really good.  The orzo was a bit dry as it finished before the chicken did and had to sit. Next time I will add more broth to the orzo and time it better, but it was good. Both recipes I will keep in the rotation.

They are talking about reopening the state in a couple of weeks. I am not in that big of a hurry. We will certainly be keeping an eye on what is happening. I hope the schools don’t open. Around here school ends around the middle of May so I don’t think the two weeks of school will be worth exposing the kids.

I got an email from AAA saying they are giving us a refund on 2 months worth of premiums.  It is since everyone isn’t driving as much, according to the email. I won’t argue with them. If they want to give me money I will take it. My car insurance comes due in June so this will help pay that.

We watched some stuff we had recorded before going to bed. Night night.
