Monday, April 20

Today we headed out to the base to do some grocery shopping at the commissary. I was surprised that they had less on the shelves than the local grocery store. There are a few things I go there to buy and they had all of those. The soup isle was pretty empty but they had a lot of pasta. I didn’t see any toilet paper but they had paper towels.  They only had certain brands of tissues, not my favorite one. I only got a couple of boxes. They were rationing milk and eggs which is weird. It also seemed like my bill was higher than normal. We did pick up a couple of small items for Aimee that she didn’t get in her grocery order yesterday. I figured that if we were going to the store I would check with her. The commissary requires everyone to wear a mask and they are limiting the number of people in the store. They also have arrows showing if the isles are up or down. Most people were ignoring that. I did forget to get bananas so I will probably have to go to Kroger sooner than normal.

Othe way home we put some gas in my car. I had 40 cents discount at Kroger so my gas was .84 cents a gallon!  We also pulled through the car wash. I have a monthly membership there so I need to go at least three times a month to make that worth my while. Since it is a drive thru car wash you are never around anyone.

The weather today is nice. It should get up to 60 degrees.

For dinner we had soup and sandwiches. Neither of us were hungry so that was fine.

That is all
