Happy Easter. Today started out with drizzles. We decided that it would be our lazy day, except we did do the weekly laundry. Since we wanted to wash our pj’s we put on sweats and hung out around the house.
With the rain and cold I decided not to bbq the Tri tip but to roast it low and slow in the oven. I set the temp for 220 degrees and let it cook. It took about 2.5 hours. I had marinated it in a soy sauce, ginger, onion, garlic and other things overnight. It came out really tender and yummy. We had potato salad, carrot and raisin salad, and some macaroni salad along with the meat. Notice that I use my wedding china as my everyday dishes? Why not!
We did eat a little early as it didn’t take as long as I thought it would to cook. At least we have some good leftovers for later. We will have pudding for dessert. One thing about cooking is that I wind up with leftovers. We will be having the salads and steak at least one more time this week.
While we were eating we were watching a documentary about the Real Jesus of Nazareth. It is actually very interesting.
That is all for tonight.
