Thursday, April 2

We slept in a little today then got up and got going. I decided to go for a walk with Bill. It is warming up and I don’t like the cold so much. This week is suppose to be nice so I will be walking more.

I got a call from my sister-in-law, Cindy, Jim’s wife. My mom had a stroke this morning. They called 911 and took her to the hospital. There was a clot in her brain affecting her speech.  They were not able to get it all out with surgery so they will give her medication. I don’t know how long she will be in the hospital. Because of the lockdown we won’t be going out. I cannot take the chance with my health at this time. Jim and Cindy will keep me updated.

We did go out to a small local store to get a couple of things and found some hydrogen peroxide. We both bought a bottle and we went back in the afternoon and got two more so Nick and Aimee could have some. They didn’t have any sanitizer available.  They were just getting a shipment but didn’t know what was on it and that is why we went in the afternoon. I also picked up a couple of things I needed like bread, scotch tape, a card, and hand lotion. It is a small local chain store.

I printed a picture of a teddy bear and an Easter egg off of the internet to color and hang in my windows.  I don’t have any stuffed teddy bears and thought the idea of kids going on bear hunts was cute and this was how I can participate.

We have been eating breakfast later each morning so we usually are not hungry for lunch but we get hungry before dinner time so we have decided to eat our main meal around 4:00. That way we only eat twice a day. Today we went to BJ’s Brewhouse for takeout. They had a special which was half a rack of ribs, 2 sides, (we both had a cup of soup and mashed garlic potatoes.  You also get a pazzoki, which is a big cookie with ice cream.  The food was good and we will have the pazzoki’s for dessert later this evening.

I watched the Masked Singer and got the White Tiger correct, I knew it was the Gronk.  Spoiler alert - I am pretty sure the astronaut is a country music singer named Hunter Hayes. He holds a world record, is small, sings good and had a point in his career where he had problems after he announced he was gay. What do you think?  This years group is harder than before and they have bigger names than before but a number of them have me stumped.  The clues are getting harder too.

That is all
