Our lawn care company came out today to fertilize our grass. The dandelions are starting to appear in the neighborhood and we wanted to get the weed killer sprayed too. They will spray 3 more times over the season.
There is a car wash up by the kids that we use and hold a monthly subscription to. It has been closed for a couple of weeks but has now reopened. It is a drive thru car wash with a place to vacuum and dry your car. That area is closed but we can get the black car washed again. Good thing as it really needs it.
Our local grocery store is Kroger. In California that would be Ralph’s. They have a membership thing where you can earn money off gas. Last month I earned fourth cents a gallon off gas but that expires at the end of April. Problem is that we don’t go anywhere now so I am not using much gas. I will probably lose that discount. The local Kroger’s price is $1.42 a gallon so I could get it for $1.02 if I needed it. All of our cars are full.
This morning Bill discovered the Chevy has a leak somewhere. I think the radiator. So we took the car to our local shop. I got in my car to follow him and it wouldn’t start. Looks like my battery is dead. Guess I haven’t been driving it enough. We out the battery charger on when we got home. We will go for a drive later today to make sure it stays charged. So I took the Suzuki to pick Bill up at the shop. We were able to charge my battery and got the car started. I did have to reset some of the displays in the car and it took a few minutes for the Sirius radio to reconnect. We went for a drive just to run the alternator and drove over to the car wash.
We decided to watch Black Panther this afternoon to pass some time. Afterward we are having turkey sliders for dinner along with some macaroni salad.
We split the cost of a new bike for Rory for Easter. Since bike riding isn’t usually something done around here at Christmas time we had decided that getting one for Easter was better than Christmas. Aimee sent us a short video of him riding it. He also called us and let us know he loves it and he went on 3 bike rides today. It gives him some exercise since he can’t go to the parks. Nick is home more so he can ride with him. This bike should last him for a number of years.
I made turkey sliders for dinner and we had macaroni salad and cottage cheese. Nice and light dinner.
We spent some time out front enjoying the sunshine today. We are supposed to get rain tonight and tomorrow morning so we enjoy the sun when we can. On Thursday it is suppose to be 25 degrees cooler than today. WTH!
So good night.
