Tuesday-Tuesday, Oct 27-Nov 3

I don’t have a daily report for this week but here are some things we did. It was a quiet week. We did pick the boat up on Wednesday.  We had an appointment on Friday morning to have it winterized and it was supposed to rain on Thursday.  I didn’t want to go to the storage lot in the rain so the HOA is just going to have to live my boat outside for 2 days. We did get the boat to the shop and they got it winterized in about an hour. Since it was a bit of a drive to get there we went down the street and had breakfast while they worked on it. After it was finished we brought it home. I was scheduled to babysit Rory I. The afternoon but Aimee called and cancelled. We did go to the house and picked up BBQ for dinner for all of us. It was really good and we had a nice time visiting.

Saturday was Halloween. We took the boat to storage in the early afternoon.  We have a new neighbor in the spot next to the boat so that made it a bit tight to back the boat in. So the boat is now sitting for the winter. The rig is next. We have our camp out next week and then the rig will be winterized.  We only had a few kids come by for Halloween.  Now I have a bunch of leftover candy.

I am making my lists of things to put in the rig for the camp out and what to take out of the rig to lock it up for the winter.

The time change happened this weekend. It made Sunday a really long day. I don’t like that it gets so dark so early. We are moving our evening walk to before dinner instead of after. That way it is still light when we go out.

On Monday morning we got the rig out and brought it home. Bill needed to check the water level in the batteries and I needed to check to see if the dash cover laid correctly. I am going to attach Velcro to the dash to hold it in specific spots. We will be leaving on Wednesday to go camping. In the afternoon we had Watkins come out to install a whole house humidifier.  I was a little disappointed that they didn’t get here until almost 4 and it would take 3 hours to install. That threw a wrench into our dinner plans. Luckily I planned a simple meal and could cook it quickly after he left.  As the weather gets colder and drier it will help with my dry skin.

Tuesday morning I had an appointment with the hearing aid doctor. My aids are doing fine.  After that we went to Costco to see if they had something Aimee wanted. She saw something called hot chocolate bombs they were supposed to have. Unfortunately our store hasn’t gotten them yet. I will keep looking for them. If I need to I can make them from instructions on the internet.  After Costco we got the car washed and then stopped by Nick’s office to talk for a bit. Dinner was at Bob Evans. I am going to avoid watching the news tonight about the election.
