Tuesday-Monday, Dec 15-21

Tuesday-Wednesday.  Quiet days. We did go to the Y a couple of times to walk. Wednesday we went to walk and then went to Bravo! Italian Cucina for dinner. I had a deal where they were to give me $15 toward a next visit but they went ahead and took it off this meal. Score!  It snowed off and on all day so we didn’t do much else.  We really only got about an inch. There was rain mixed with snow later in the day so the roads are clear. I tried a new recipe I found. I have been wanting s blackberry cobbler and found a recipe for blackberry buckle. It was easy and I had all the ingredients so I made that. It turned out really good. I will have to keep it in my rotation. It might even becomes something I make for campouts.

Thursday. Today I met my new rheumatologist.  My old one moved out of state.  He is a younger guy. First time I have an a male rheumatologist.  He took enough blood to keep Dracula happy for a year. He is doing a bunch of tests.  He is thinking about possibly changing my meds to some really new things. I guess it will depend on insurance. I go back to see him in January to get the results. Hey, if it helps I am willing to try anything. After my appt we went to the Y and walked. The doctors office and the Y are actually next door to each other. He does know my original rheumatologist in California.  Small world.

Friday. I am babysitting today and Aimee asked me to come over early. Today was Rory’s last day before winter break so he finished early. I treated him to lunch at Burger King. A little after 2:00 Nick texted me and said I could bring Rory to his office if I wanted to go home. Rory was playing a game so we waited until around 3:00 to go. After visiting for. Bit I took off and got my car washed. We wash it in the winter to keep the salt off of it. Bill called and said to stop by KFC for dinner. I decided I wasn’t really hungry but I got him dinner.

Saturday. Not feeling that good today. I am having an arthritis flare. It puts me in a kind of fog. We did hit the grocery store for a few things. And we got most of our mile walk in at the Y.  The rest of the day spent just trying to stay warm and resting. I fixed dinner but since I waited before writing this I forgot what it was. Must have been exciting.

Sunday. Still not feeling great but I did get up and fix a second batch of fudge. It didn’t turn out as well as it usually does.  Oh well.  I think it was the chocolate I used.  It sort of separated or at least didn’t completely blend.  I fixed meat loaf for dinner. It was really good. We didn’t do anything else as I still don’t feel great.

Monday. I woke up feeling much better today. The flare seems to have died down. It is cold and a bit rainy today. We did a short walk outside this morning, the rain forced us back early. We will hit the Y later  today. Pork chops for dinner tonight.
