Tuesday-Wednesday. We didn’t do much on these days. Mainly just hanging around the house. We did do a little grocery shopping. I also made a couple of candy things. I made my chocolate salted caramels. I also made some hot chocolate bombs for Rory. I decided I didn’t want to pay $5 each when I could make them for a lot less. They came out better than I thought they would. I was worried they would crack when I took them out of the forms.
Thursday. We went over to the rig today to run the engine and generator. We have to do this occasionally to make sure the batteries don’t run down. In the evening we went to the local dinner theater. They put on a Christmas show. It was cute and the food was good as always. The biggest problem was how they served the food. You went to the buffet and they played the food. But they only had one buffet table and 3 servers that took a lot longer then it normally does. I understand one couple left as they got tired of waiting. The theater calls you up based on what time you arrived. We know this so we didn’t get there too late and were able to get our food fairly quickly. There was a large group of 55 people and that held up the line. They have only been open for a few weeks so I hope they work out the bugs before the 2021 season starts. Before we went there we stopped at the drug store and I got my second shingles shot. I don’t have to babysit tomorrow so I can spend the day at home. I know I will react a bit to the shot and didn’t want to take it the day before I had plans.
Friday. Yep, just as I suspected I had a mild reaction to the shot. So I just hung around in my pj’s today. I was able to get a quote on trimming our trees and removing another tree. We have an evergreen by the porch and I don’t like it so I want it gone. I did feel good enough to fix dinner and I made pork chops, potatoes and a Chinese salad.
Saturday. I had an appointment with the current HOA treasurer this morning. I will be taking over that position soon. I am looking into changing software and possible setting up electronic and credit card payment. Probably. It this year but by next year. I think we can get quicker payment that way and maybe even get some of our delinquent payments taken care of.
Sunday. Another quiet day. We try not to go out much except for our walks. We did our morning walk and I planned to go to the Y for the evening walk. Turns out they are not open on Sunday. They used to be guess it is part of the COVID stuff.
Monday. I babysat today so Aimee could get her hair done. First I made a stop at Costco to check on something for her but they didn’t have any in stock. Nick was home having lunch so we got to talk a bit before he went back to work. Rory and I played with a game he got for his birthday. It is a crate your own marble maze game. They give you cards that show possible ways to set it up. He just jumped right in and started making his own mazes. Smart little boy. For Christmas we are giving him more activity, STEM, things instead of toys. Bill wasn’t hungry so we didn’t fix dinner just ate what we wanted
