We went with our camping group to Shipshewana, IN. It is an Amish community. We have been through there a number of times during our travels and enjoy it. It is about 225 miles from our house so it was a long day. One of my favorite meat markets is there so I made sure I had room in my freezer to stock up. Here is our campsite
We went shopping in a few of the stores and Bill found a dog he wanted to take home. I told him it was too expensive but it was cute.
We also went to two concerts. With each one we had a buffet dinner included in the tickets. The first one we ate too much and were miserable so the next night we made sure we cut down on what we ate. We saw the Kingston Trio
They were not the original ones as that group was started in the early 60’s but they were good. We had second row seats for that show.
On Friday night we saw Josh Turner. Our seats were not as good but were still good seats.
He put on a really good show. Josh is a country singer and is best known for the song Long Black Train. He also sings Christian music. I really like his voice and really enjoyed the show. Both shows were at the Blue Gate Theater, which is new in Shipshewana.
The seats were really comfortable and the sound was good. We have tickets to go back in August to see Trace Adkins but we will be staying in the hotel instead of taking the RV.
