What we are up to

 Fourth of July we didn’t do much, mostly stayed home. A few people around us did fireworks but we didn’t go to any shows. 

The backup camera on the rig has not been working right so we took it into the shop. They are not able to repair it and a replacement camera is on back order. They suggested we use a wireless one and gave us a great deal on one they had so they are installing that for us.  Nothing else wrong with the rig. We have a camp out coming up soon.  I am providing meat for tacos. I had everyone volunteer for an ingredient.  This isn’t something they are used to so we will se how it works out.

The kids are happy in their new house but are still unboxing things.  Good thing they have a basement for that. We have been slowly taking over the boxes from upstairs. I am going to get some shelving units and organize up there. I have a lot of stuff up there too

We saw The Little Mermaid at our local dinner theater.  I was pleasantly surprised with the production.  This was one of the shows I didn’t think we would like but it was really well done.  Can’t wait for the remaining shows.  I bought tickets for the kids so they are going with us in December to see A Christmas Story.  That should be fun.  I think we still have two shows before then.  

I had the carpet cleaned. The guys did a very good job. They also cleaned the dining room chairs and bar stools. Those really needed it.  The biggest issue was not their work but that it was so muggy here it took a long time to dry.  It has been raining a lot and been horribly muggy for a couple of weeks.  Hopefully that will change this week.  

We went to the movies and saw The Black Widow.  It was ok.  There were. Ore people there than I thought there would be.  We usually have the theater to ourselves when we go during the day during the week.  We plan on taking Rory to see the basketball/bugs bunny movie.  

My sister-in-law, Cindy, passed away this week.  She has been sick for a couple of months.  They never really figured out what the problem was  Jim has planned a celebration of life but due to doctor appointments we won’t be able to make it.  Bill has an appointment with the VA hearing and to talk over a month to get that one. Canceling would cause us to have to change another one later in the month too.
