So the weather guy got it right and it started snowing early this morning. It is suppose to snow most of the day. It gets heavy and then lightens up. I think we are going to get more than the projected 1-2 inches.

I haven’t been feeling great this last week. I went to urgent care and they tested me for COVID, flu and RSV but it appears all I have is an average cold/sinus thing. It is going to hang around for a couple of weeks. So we didn’t go to exercise class or do our walking. We will pick that back up next week.
Rory has had a couple of basketball games so far. Nick is coaching so it is a good bonding experience for them. We attend the games for support.
This week I worked on finishing some arrangements for the cruise in July. I made plane reservations and special dinner reservations on Bill’s birthday on the ship. Our friends sent me their list of excursions and I sent mine to them. We will have a couple together. Now I need to book and pay for them. I still have a chunk of the cruise cost to pay. That will happen at the end of February. Both Bill and I will need to get some new clothes for the trip. I am not looking forward to buying a new bathing suit though.
So we had a couple of days with decent weather. Some of the snow has melted but the temps have been highs in the low 40’s so it is still hanging around. Now it is suppose to snow and rain starting tonight, Tuesday, and continue into Wednesday. They say 3-6 inches of snow for our area. We are going to our exercise class today but might not be able to on Wednesday. We would have to shovel snow to do it.
So the weatherman made a big to do over the storm but it fizzled out, at least in our neighborhood. We got less than an inch of snow and then the rain started. We got more earlier in the week, and they cancelled school over this! And the Y cancelled classes.
Today is Thursday, the 26th. When we drove off to go to the Y for class we noticed that on the grass under the melting snow was Sunday’s newspaper! It is normally on the driveway so we assumed the paper never came. They put it on the grass, right in the corner where it was covered by snow and we shoveled more right on top of it when we cleared the drive. It just melted enough for us to see it.
