The alarm went off at 6:00 AM in the morning! We needed to get up and get to the truck service place. We decided not to have breakfast in the rig but to get something while we waited for the rig to get serviced. They changed the oil and filters and checked all the important other stuff. They also washed it. We don't plan on driving that far today as we are tired.
Our stop after leaving Elkhart was in Cicero, IN. It is just NE of Indianapolis. When we are doing these overnight stays we like to find an inexpensive campground. I also don't need full hookups, just water & electric is fine. We also prefer that it not be too far off the main road we are traveling on. The place we picked for Wednesday night is called White River. It is a county park but set up more like a private one. The rate for the night was $21.40. We actually had full hookups but no cable TV. We did pick up a number of channels over the antenna.
We were back in the trees so putting up the satellite would have been useless. We settled in and in the evening I made a light spaghetti dish. It was pasta, chicken and shrimp, sauteed vegetables and the sauce was diced tomatoes and a little tomato paste to thicken. Not bad. After dinner we settled down to watch our recording of America's Got Talent.
I took some pictures of the place. The creek is directly behind us and I saw a good size fish jumping while I was taking pictures.
The next morning we were up and ready to go a little later than normal. We both thought it was 7:30 AM and it turned out to be 8:30! Oops. We got dressed and pulled out a little before 10:00. Today we have about 160 miles to go before we stop. Our destination is Sheperdsville, KY. It is about 15 miles south of Louisville. I discovered last night that the Kentucky State Fair is going on while we are here. We decided we would go one evening to see the Oak Ridge Boys in concert. Charlie Daniels is also going to be there on night. We also have plans to tour some bourbon distilleries, Louisville sluggers, Churchill Downs, and other places.
We are stopped at Grandma's RV Park. It isn't quite what I expected but it is clean and neat. All the hookups work and it is pretty quiet, even though it is fairly close to I65. We will be here for a week so that we can explore the area.
Next door we discovered a field with some donkeys in it. There were a couple of babies too.

I hate to tell you, but the wite one and the brown one are horses...take a look at the tails. They are ponies.
But the baby donkey is adorable!!
I like the first campground better than concrete grandmas. LOL
