How to break a drought

Friday - Tuesday, Sept 24- Sept 28

Just invite us to the area. We have to stay a few days then the rain starts. It has been raining here since Sunday. Right now it isn't raining but it has been pretty constant since then. It is suppose to start back up tonight and continue until the Friday.  The area has been 10 short on the annual rainfall and it has made up half of that in the last few days!  That means we haven't done much.  The family was busy with wedding activities so we only saw them on Sunday.  Less than two weeks until the wedding.

Bill and I did drive around a bit but I forgot to take my camera with me.  The area has built up a bit since we were last here.  A lot more chain restaurants have been built in the area as well as chain stores.  Most of those are in New Bern or down in Morehead City.  Havelock is pretty much the same.   We did have to locate some ant repellent to put around the rig.  We found a few ants inside and want to nip that in the bud.  The rain keeps them in their little homes so I hope we don't see any for awhile.

We are currently staying on Cherry Point, the Marine Air base.  Our big problem here is my data card.  The radar and planes here keep  causing problems.  We lose the connection and the system locks up.  That means we have to reboot the PC.  It is a pain but something we have to put up with as long as we are here.  I talked to the Verizon guy about it and there is nothing that can be done.  Bummer.  I just finished having to reboot again to finish this blog.

That is all for now.  Not too exciting I know.

I have the same problem trying to keep a connection, and constantly having to reboot. But I'm in Sacramento and can't blame it on the Marines!
