Sunday, October 31
We didn't get any trick-or-treaters here at Sleepy Holler Campground in Jasper, Alabama. We left Stone Mountain by 9:00 this morning and we drove about 200 miles. It turned out to be an easy drive since it was Sunday and we had to drive through two major cities. Atlanta and Birmingham both turned out to be easy with no weekend traffic. It appeared that we were the only ones leaving the campground in the morning. There were hardly any people out when we left.
This campground overcharges for what you get. It is fine for an overnight stop but I certainly wouldn't come here for any length of time. It mostly seems to be permanent people. We do have full hookups but no cable TV and it is $30 a night. Bill put up the satellite dish as we only seem to be getting public TV shows. The sites are close together and we found a gift from someones dog right outside where our door opened!
Tomorrow we head toward Memphis. We will be staying in Arkansas in West Memphis at the Tom Sawyer RV Park. We have stayed here before and enjoyed it. The park is right on the Mississippi River. I hope to get a couple of loads of laundry done in the evening. On Tuesday we head to RV Fog Dr to get the window fixed. We are not sure how long we will be there. It all depends on what they have to do.
No pictures today. Have a Happy Halloween.
