Moon River

Saturday, Nov 6

After a late morning we located a Best Buy and went there to see about a replacement for my car charger for the GPS.  We were able to locate a universal plug that worked.  The guy at the store said to make sure we test it when we got to the car.  The Magellan GPS sometimes doesn't work with the universal chargers.  Luck for us that it worked.  If I ever buy another GPS I won't be buying a Magellan.  I think the Garmin is a better GPS and is easier to get accessories for.

We also headed into the Super Walmart to pick up a few groceries.  We also checked their universal plugs and the one we got at Best Buy was cheaper.  Usually it works the other way around.

We didn't do much this afternoon except figure out which way we will travel tomorrow.  One way requires the use of a couple of toll roads and another doesn't.  There is only a difference of about 20 miles so we will go the way that avoids the toll roads.  We are headed back to Fort Smith, AR.

Tonight we decided to eat out.  We chose the Fall Creek Steakhouse and Catfish house.  It was on the way to the theatre we are going to.  Bill had the chicken fried steak dinner and I had a catfish plate.  The  catfish was good but the french fries were only mediocre.  They have "throwed rolls" at this restaurant.  I guess they are taking something from Lambert's.  The only thing was they weren't out with them very often while we were there but they were really good and they served real butter with them.  We got there before the really big crowd.  They also have a small gift shop in the building.

Our tickets for tonight were for the Christmas show at Andy William's theatre.  They show was a variety of acts.  He sang a number of Christmas songs. He also had a fiddle player (the world's fastest), a quick change act, and an impersonator.  His act was complete with dancers and backup singers.  It was a very enjoyable show.  The theatre was completely sold out.

We weren't real close to the stage so the pictures are a little dark and fuzzy.  There must have been 10-15 bus loads of people who came in.  Most of them got to set up front.

I hope you like the pictures.  We enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to coming back next June with our friends.
