Upgrading

Today we spent some time at the Verizon store.  We upgraded the data card we use to access the internet with a Mifi device.  This device will allow us to connect up to 5 different devices to the internet at one time.  We don't have any additional devices at this time but we will one day.  We can also offer our friends the use of it. 

We also upgraded our phones.  I added texting to my phone and got an LG phone that has a keyboard.  I have a limit of 250 texts a month.  It will be interesting to see how often I actually text.  Bill upgraded his phone to a new Samsung but doesn't have texting.  It isn't something he is interested in doing.  The one he got has a bigger screen and bigger keys than his old one.  That "New every two" program only allows $50 toward a phone.  You can't buy a phone for $50.  We are also getting rebates so most of the cost does get covered. 

We went to a local Chinese restaurant for lunch.  It is in the same center as the Verizon store so it was close.  We like their food.  There was too much, of course, so we brought some home. 

It took me a bit to get the Mifi device working.  I actually had to call the support team.  The access for Verizon is still crummy in this area but they won't admit that.  Most of the town is good but there is an area of a few blocks where we stay that are bad.  It has been reported but I don't expect anything to happen.
