Did you think I forgot?

Well I really didn't.

The weekend of Mar 3-6 we drove down to Chula Vista (in the San Diego area) to join our camping group.  We really like this campground (KOA Metro).  It is one of the few KOA campgrounds we like.  We generally avoid KOA campgrounds as they are expensive.  They also focus on families so there can be lots of kids misbehaving.  Since we don't need the playgrounds and kid activities we don't go to them.  Since we generally camp at this campground during the off season we don't have a lot of that to put up with.

We got a really good camping spot, right across the road from the group fire area where everyone gathers.  We arrived on Thursday and settled in.  When Lydia got in we went to dinner at a place that Guy from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives had featured.  It is called the Studio Diner.  It was interesting to find as it is in the middle of an industrial area and right next to a real movie studio.  The food was good.  I had meatloaf with a cheesy potato dish as a side.  Bill had soup and half a sandwich.  Everyone seemed to enjoy their dinners.  We couldn't bring the whole camping group to eat here as we would take over the entire building!

On Friday everyone visited and explored the area.  We decided to order in pizza for the group.  Terry started collecting the money from everyone.  In the early afternoon Lydia announced she didn't feel good so off to the hospital they went.  Terry decided to drive back home and take her to the hospital she normally goes to.  They didn't keep her overnight but she will have to go in for medication everyday for 10 days.  Terry called and everyone packed up his motorhome for him to take.  We walked Chimay, the dog, and got her ready.  I hope they get this infection taken care of soon.

I took over the pizza orders and placed the order.  Pizza Hut messed up the order so we got a free pizza.  They also threw in 5 breadsticks.  I special ordered a thin crust veggie pizza and thought nobody would touch it.  Ha!  By the time I got through the line most of it was gone!

Our dinner on Saturday was chili, salads, dessert and breads.  I made chili and I used a Weight Watchers recipe.  I didn't make it as spicy as the recipe called for and it turned out pretty good.  I didn't have much leftover for other meals.  I did have enough for a lunch.  We decided not to use the club house but to eat outdoors as the weather was great.  They also decided to dance in the same area.  We actually used the parking spot Terry had been in.

We went home on Sunday and re-parked in our spot.  We spent most of the day relaxing.  We did have dinner with my parents in the evening.

My therapist says I am doing great and now I am only going two times a week.  We are working on building strength in my legs.  I will probably stop doing PT in a few weeks.

Bill's granddaughter was in the hospital this week with a blood clot.  She is pregnant and started having pain in her leg.  They took her in and the clot was diagnosed.  She is now on blood thinners and doing better.  She will have to take it easy through the pregnancy.

So we are caught up now.  I will post again in a few days.
