Last Saturday we decided to take a drive up the mountain to visit Big Bear. It was a really nice day and we didn't have anything else to do. The drive was nice and there is still snow on the ground. We parked and walked through the shops downtown (which is about 2 streets). I didn't find anything to buy but we did have lunch at one of the restaurants. We decided to have pizza. It was just OK. We also drove around the lake, which is really, really full. We haven't seen it this full in a long time. They recently let water out at the dam since it is so full. That hadn't happened in 15 years! And there is still snow on the mountain so more water will come in.
On our way back down the mountain Bill decided to stop at one of the RV dealers around town. They had a rig he was interested in. I liked it but it will be a year or so before we buy another one. Bill is thinking about moving to a gas rig instead of diesel because of the prices of gas and diesel. We will see what happens.
We have been getting ready for our summer trip. I have the first part and the last part planned and reservations made at selected campgrounds. Now all I have to plan is the middle! That is the part from the middle of June to the first part of Oct. I think we are going to wander around the Northeast.
This week has also been card game week. We have played Pinochle three times this week. Monday night was with our regular group, on Thursday we substituted for my folks group and Friday we are substituting for a local woman's group. I know, how is Bill playing in a woman's group? Well, it was an emergency. It has been fun though.
That is all for now. Have fun
