Before we left on our excursion today I couldn't find my sunglasses. I looked all over the rig and out in the car but nope, no glasses. I walked down to the office to see if I left them there but nope, no glasses. When I walked back to the rig Bill informed me that he lost his wedding ring. Oh great. One more tearing apart of the car revealed my sunglasses but no ring yet. I looked around the area where we unhooked the car and there was his ring. It came off when he pulled his gloves off. He has lost enough weight to make the ring loose. He will have to be careful with it now.
Today we decided to drive to Pitkin, CO. It is a town in the middle of nowhere and only has a few residents. It wasn't what we expected but the drive was nice. We saw this cool rock.
There was nothing there to explore so we headed back to Gunnison. We decided to visit the museum in town. It is actually pretty nice.
They had a lot of old buildings that have been moved to the site as well as a large collection of cars.
By the time we finished the museum we were hungry as it was around 2:15 PM. Turns out a lot of their restaurants only serve breakfast and lunch so were closed at 2:00. We did find one open and had a nice lunch. That meant a later dinner. I had put ribs in the crockpot so we had them with some leftovers from the fridge.
Tomorrow we head to Colorado Springs, CO and the US Air Force Academy campground. Turns out that today was graduation so we won't see that.
Enjoy all the pictures.
