Camping at an RV dealer

Wednesday, June 29

We are making our way to New Bern, NC to see Ashley and her new son, Nelson.  He was born on Tuesday, June 28, 12 weeks early.  He is in the NICU (Neo-natal intensive care unit) in Greenville.  Having had a preemie ourselves we know they are worried but hopefully everything will work out.  Nelson is 2 pounds and 13 inches long.

Today was spent on the road and we are camped at the Tom Johnson RV Center and Campground in Marion, NC.  It is a really surprising place.  They have an area for rally's with a couple hundred sites and is mostly grass.  The regular campground side has full hookups and the sites are concrete.  There are 67 sites on this side.  They also have a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch.

After we got hooked up we drove into the big little town of Marion.  I was looking for a pizza parlor for dinner but didn't find anything except chain restaurants.  We stopped at Walmart to pick up some of the sparkling water we like and I bought a frozen pizza.  We had that and a salad for dinner.  It was pretty good.

Back at the rig I enjoyed the quiet and Bill walked over to explore all of the used rigs they have for sale here.  He must have really enjoyed himself as he was gone for a long time!  Nothing must have thrilled him as we still have our rig.  One day he will surprise me and buy one.

According to the Samsung website my camera has been repaired and is being shipped to Stormy's house.  It should be there on Friday.  Yeah!

Here are a couple of pictures of the campground.
