It was a nice travel day. We mostly drove US64 with only a few miles on an Interstate. It is a slower pace when we are not on the Interstates. There are some really nice homes along the way. I have one question, where do these people work? These houses are miles from a town of any size.
Tonight we are staying at Zooland Campground. It used to be called Banjo Creek. The new owners just took over. It is pretty nice and filling up quickly. I bet it is 100% full tonight! The sites are a bit close but no worse that most places. They have a catch & release pond, 2 pools (one for adults, one for kids), a game room, a lodge, a playground, and a bouncy thing. Not bad. They are a Passport America park but only allow a few sites for that. Those were full so we used our Good Sam discount. Not bad for $25.
After we got setup we had a late lunch so we weren't hungry enough for me to cook a full meal at dinnertime. We decided to have the leftover pizza and whatever leftovers we wanted from the fridge. A perfect meal. It is warm here and I bet that influenced us. After dinner we took a stroll around the park and stopped to help a couple setup their DirecTv dish. She said he had been at it for a long time. They have a roof dish that they normally use but couldn't because of the trees here. It didn't take long before Bill had it dialed in.
We are only hearing good news about little Nelson. He is doing well as is Ashley. We can't wait until we go see them both. I don't know if that will be tomorrow night or Saturday.
So that is all for now. Tomorrow - New Bern.
