First fishing day

Friday, June 10

Terry and Ed went fishing this morning and were successful in catching their limits.  They were back in the early afternoon.  Terry and Lydia had a friend (Nancy) who lives in St Louis come down for the weekend.  She is a fisher person and is going to join the guys for a couple of days.

We didn't do much during the day, just sitting around visiting.  In the afternoon we did head to Walmart to pick up a couple of items we needed and some we didn't.  While Bill was vacuuming today our vacuum stopped running.  Actually, he turned it off to move a rug and it wouldn't turn back on.  We eventually decided to call Dirt Devil and see if there was something they could do.  This thing is not even a year old!  We bought it back in Sept.  It wasn't really expensive but you still want it to work longer than 9 months!  There isn't any repair shop in Branson so we have to call the corporate office on Monday to see what they will do.

For dinner we decided to have tacos.  I had the meat already so I made 2 pounds of ground turkey.  Earlene fixed a pound of hamburger.  Lydia fixed up the tortillas, Betty brought rice and we had a few other assorted sides.  It was a really good meal.  After that we just hung around getting bit by mosquitoes until it was time to go in; at least I got bit.
