We have two couples who are visiting here but are not staying at the campground. They are sharing a condo. They arrived to visit today and it was good to see them.
Bill had I took off in the morning to buy my birthday present. I wanted to get a Kindle so I can weed out some of my books. After much research I decided I didn't need the 3G Kindle as we carry our own wifi system. Having one will free up space in my cabinets. I will always carry some books, to have for exchanging if I find something of interest at a campground, but most of my stuff will now be on the Kindle.
After much discussion we finally agreed on what shows and things we were going to do this next week. Let me tell you, getting everyone to agree was fun. Not everyone will do everything but we will all have fun. We will order the tickets tomorrow morning. I pity the poor ticket guy trying to figure all of this out.
Today we decided to go out to dinner. I suggested that we go to the Great American Steak & Chicken House. I neglected to take a picture of the building (maybe I can get one later). They have a giant, and I mean giant, chicken out front so it is hard to miss the building. We started in a room by ourselves but eventually others joined us. We had a great waiter who got the Donner joke and spent the rest of the night joking with us. The food was good old country cooking. I had fried chicken, mac and cheese, and hominy. Bill had liver and onions, baked sweet potato, and applesauce. Others had many other things. They also had a good salad bar. We all ate too much. They passed around some homemade potato chips and fried pickles. I was surprised at the fried pickles, they were good!
It looks like it will rain a bit tonight. They guys plan on fishing again tomorrow, so I hope they don't get too much. Tomorrow we attend our first show so I hope to have more pictures. Bye for now
