Getting tickets

Sunday, June 12

Bill decided to get up early and go fishing with the boys.  Within a hour after they left it started thundering and raining!  I guess they decided it wasn't raining hard enough as they stayed out fishing.  All three caught their limit and they returned around noon.  I was just fixing a taco salad with my leftovers from the other day when he walked in.  He decided to have his leftover liver and onions.

While the guys were gone the ladies placed our orders for show tickets and the group that is going zip lining made their reservations.  I felt sorry for the folks on the other end of the phone as each couple was paying separately and had different tickets they were buying.  It was really funny to listen to our side of the conversations.

Once we finished lunch Bill and Terry decided to replace the air filter on our rig.  I don't know why Bill didn't have this done when it was in for an oil change but he didn't.  Anyway, we had purchased it when we were in Kansas City.  They didn't take very long before they had it complete, even though the thing was gigantic.  Next they replaced Terry's windshield wipers.  At this point both guys were really hot so we all decided to take a dip in the pool.  The water was a bit cool when you first got in but it soon became nice.  In the heat we have been having it was great.

A bunch of the group went out for dinner.  We have two couples staying in a condo so they are eating most of their meals out.  Bill and I didn't want to do that so we ate at home and then met everyone for the show.  Our first show is to see Jim Stafford.  He is a musician and comedian and does put on a great show.  I was surprised at how few people were at the theatre.  The economy has really hit Branson hard.  Even the roads are not a crowded as before.

The ticket guy arranged the seat so that six of us sat in one row and the other four sat directly behind.  Immediately behind me was another couple and they were fun to talk to.  Terry was kicking my seat to irritate me and blaming on this nice couple -

We really enjoyed the show.  Jim has a dead-pan face and tells the silliest jokes.  He did sing some songs and he is a fabulous guitar player.  His kids, aged 14 & 18 were also in the show playing piano.  During intermission he came out and sat on the stage to talk to the people who came up.  Our friends, Lee & Lyn, walked up and I took their picture.

This was the first show I have used my new camera at and I am very pleased with the quality of the pictures.  Of course, being in the first ten rows certainly helps get good shots!

After the show was over we headed back to the campground and went to bed.  It was a good day.  Here are all the pictures I took.
