Wow, what a night!

Sunday, June 26

We were really lucky last night.  The light that was just outside my bedroom window didn't work!  Yeah!  Unfortunately, I didn't get any sleep anyway.  We had a pretty wild thunder storm come through.  It rained pretty hard along with wind, thunder and lightening.  We lost power 3 times during the night.

Luckily it stopped raining by the time we got up in the morning so we were able to get going without any problems.  Well, only one small problem.  The windshield cover I use on the car allowed some water to get inside my car so the drivers seat was wet.  Guess we will have to take that thing off overnight.

The drive was uneventful.  We did lose an hour when we crossed into Eastern Time.  That made us late having lunch.  We waited until we got into the campground.  We are at the Elkhorn Campground outside of Frankfort, KY.  Turns out we have been in this area before.  On our way to the campground we passed the Jim Beam plant that we toured last year.

After we got setup and had lunch we decided to drive into town to visit Walmart.  I was afraid if I stayed in the rig I would fall asleep.  It was a nice drive and we planned out our trip for tomorrow.  We will be following I75 down toward Knoxville,TN.

That is all for today.  Have a good time.  Here are some pictures of the campground.
