Made it "Home"

Sunday, May 20, 2012

Today we crossed the border into South Dakota.  We plan on spending the next few days in Rapid City so that we can get our drivers licenses renewed.  We have to get all the paperwork together first.  We have to bring our passports, military id's, social security cards, an affidavit of residency, and a receipt from the campground with both of our names on it as well as the address of the campground.  That means we did not pay for our site yesterday but will go over to Outdoor Rec today.  They have the correct paperwork.  We are on Ellsworth Air Force Base in the Famcamp.  They have 37 sites that are all full-hookups.  It is a very nice campground.

We did have a little trouble getting here as the signs leading to the base and the signs to the campground are non-existent.  We had to unhook the tow car to get around a U-turn.  On the comment card I am going to suggest better signs!

I decided last night that I was not going to cook so we drove into town and had dinner at Olive Garden.  It was good.  I even had a glass of wine to relax.  We will spend some time today doing chores.  I have to clean the kitchen and entryway floors and do laundry.  Bill is going to clean the front of the rig and get rid of the bugs.  The weather is suppose to be nice today.  Not too warm and not too cold.  We will also do some relaxing outside.

It is time for me to get to work so have a good day.
