Evanston, WY

We are parked at Phillip's RV in Evanston, WY.  I know we have stayed here at least 2 other times, if not more.  It is a nice park.  They have really built up the town one exit south.  They have a SuperWalmart and a bunch of other small shops.  We had to take a drive down to get a couple of things like milk and bread.  Since we have been having sandwiches for lunch (they are easy to fix without power) we have gone through a loaf of bread. 

We stopped along the side of the road at a view point to enjoy that lunch.  There was a nice lake there to enjoy. 

I did see one boat and fisherman out there but you can't see them in the pictures. 

For my California friends, when you get out of state the prices of gas and diesel get cheaper.  We paid $3.96 for fuel in Utah today.  It looks like it is going to be cheaper in Wyoming.

Our next door neighbors are square dancers!  It looks like there is going to be a weekend long dance in town starting on Friday.  Too bad it doesn't fit into our schedule.  They got their toyhauler all setup for the weekend.  They then hung these two decorations from the tree between us.  I think it would be something one of our crafty people could do.  What do you think?

I fixed a simple dinner of pork chops, dressing, cranberry sauce, and veggies.  It was nice and light.  We spent part of the evening reviewing our route for the next few days. 

Our dome satellite is acting up.  Sometimes it works correctly, sometimes it doesn't.  I know the problem is the satellite, not the DirecTV box since using the portable dish works fine.  I guess I am going to have to call Wingard when we reach Rapid City and stay more than a day.  It doesn't always lock onto a signal and when it does it doesn't always get all the channels.  I thought I had it set last night and was watching shows when suddenly I no longer had channel 2 (CBS).  I tried resetting the satellite (a few times), I reset the box, turned the set on and off, but still couldn't get it.  We missed the finale of Person of Interest. Maybe I can watch it on the PC.  It seems that it went ahead and recorded The Mentalist. What happened?  Oh well.
