Leaving San Antonio

Hey, did anyone notice that yesterday was 10/11/12?  Me neither until someone pointed it out. 

Last night we went over to Cracker Barrel for dinner and Bill was thrilled.  They now have baked sweet potatoes as a side dish!  I will never get him to go somewhere else now!  They added a couple of other sides too.  I can only remember the brown rice pilaf.  It was a good meal.

Our drive today is scheduled for 340 miles.  There is nothing in this area of Texas that we want to see.  We are making our way back to Calif and have a couple of weeks to get there.  (See you soon, kids!)  All we really did today was drive.  When we stopped for lunch the rest area bathrooms were closed.  Good thing we carry our own.  I don't think the other people who were stopping there were too happy though. 

We are stopped for the night at the Parkview RV and Mobile Home Park in Fort Stockton, TX.  We are not unhooking or going anywhere as it is an over night stop.  The wind is blowing pretty hard and has been for most of the day.  That makes driving a chore.  Later in the evening it started raining and the wind really picked up.  We brought the slides in, just in case and went to bed.  Tomorrow, El Paso.
