Our plans were to leave after we had lunch and go see the Bush Presidential Library. It is about 10 miles from where we are parked. It is also located on the grounds of Texas A&M University. The drive over was easy and the library is very nice. This is the 1st President Bush. The second President Bush's library is currently under construction and not in College Station, TX.
It took about 2 1/2 hours to view the entire museum. There are a number of buildings surrounding the museum and the library holds most of the President's papers and other items.
Inside the museum you will learn about the life and times of President Bush. He served in many positions in government and also served in WWII.
We really enjoyed our time at the library. Here are all the pictures I took -
Afterward we returned to the rig and had dinner. We will be heading out tomorrow so it is time to pack up a bit. We are headed to San Antonio.
