Today was a quiet day around the base. Most everyone has the day iff. They did have the PX and commissary open but had shortened hours. We went to the PX to pick up free tickets for a movie preview on Saturday. They are showing Pacific Rim, a new movie that is coming out. So that is what we will be doing on Sat.
I made a typical 4th dinner. We had turkey burgers, potato salad (homemade), and fresh corn on the cob. Tonight we are going to watch fireworks. Someone told us there was a spot on base where we could see the fireworks from the stadium. Turns out it is right across the street. The skies are cloudy but we have good seats.
I hope you have a good 4th and remember those who sacrificed so we could enjoy our freedoms.

Is having the day iff the same as a day off??? LOL
I sometimes think the fireworks look great against clouds but if they are too low then they eat them! LOL
