Finally cooled off

First off - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!


The part for our air conditioner arrived around 10:00 AM.  Yeah.  They started to put it in.  Yeah.  Oops, it isn't exactly like the old one.  BOO.  Wait, they can rewire it.  Yeah!  We got tired of waiting and decided to go to the local Laundromat and get the laundry caught up.  When we returned we noticed the doors and windows were closed!  And it was getting cool inside!  Yeah!!!  We settled up with Wheelan RV and headed out around 3:00 PM.  Once more our extended warranty came through and we only had to pay $200.  Yeah! 


The drive to Fort Smith, AR was uneventful and we made the 140 miles with no problem.  We checked into the billeting office and proceeded to the campground.  Once we got all setup we discovered we couldn't turn the water on.  It seemed to be frozen in place.  Maintenance has left for the weekend so we asked to move to another site.  It is a little better as it has some shade.  It is in the 90's here with a lot of humidity.  It took a bit to cool the rig off but it did cool off.  I think it only got down around 75 degrees overnight. 


I fixed a quick dinner of ham and mac & cheese but we didn't get to eat dinner until after 7:00 PM.  Then we just watched a little TV and went to bed.  Tomorrow we are going to do a little exploring in town. 


So everything is working now, or at least I hope so.  We are back on track to arrive in NC in August.  Everything is good.
