It rained most of the night but it did let up a little this morning so we got hooked up and kept dry. Before we left we decided to have breakfast in the cafe here at Tom Johnson's. We both had the breakfast special, which is 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, and a choice of biscuits and gravy, french toast or toast and grits. A pretty good deal for $4 each! Coffee is free! I brought my own tea with me.
The drive from Marion to Raleigh was WET! It rained most of the way. We stopped for fuel and it was only misting so we didn't get too wet but the highway drive was all through rain. I bet they would love it in Calif if we brought all this rain back west with us.
We are stopped at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh for the night. They have a large campground that is full hookups for $25 a night. Nothing fancy but a good stopping place. We will be stuck in the rig for the rest of the day due to the rain. The weather report says rain for the next week. As soon as it lets up I will go out and take some pictures. There is a horse show going on this weekend so there are a lot of rigs here.
So the rain let up a bit so I went out and took a couple of pictures.
We aren't going to be doing anything else today so I will finish this and post it. Have a nice night. Tomorrow - Cherry Point.
