and the fun continues

Once more we were up and out early here at Winnebago.  We are getting to be real friendly with our fellow owners.  Yesterday we were told we might have to stay out of the rig one night so this morning I packed a bag in preparation for that.  We waited a bit before heading over to Sally's with another couple, to have breakfast.  We have always had good meals here.  After breakfast we headed over to the post office to pick up our mail.  Yep, it was there.  The rain has stopped but the wind is blowing pretty good and it is COLD! 


After a couple of hours the service advisor came out and let us know that they would have to keep the rig tonight.  There is a leak in the bedroom slide and only one guy who does the modification that is needed.  And it takes about 8 hours to do this.  He had to finish work on another rig and would get to ours in the afternoon.  This meant they had to keep the slide out and we couldn't stay in the rig.  Good thing I packed that bag.  We got a room at the Super 8 in town.  The reviews are pretty good for the place.  Of course, there is only one other place to stay in town.  After checking in we both took much needed naps.


After our naps we headed to the Mexican restaurant in town for lunch/dinner.  Everyone has told us this was a good Mexican restaurant but I wasn't sure.  I was happily surprised at the food.  The salsa was a bit mild but other than that I liked it.  Normally Mexican food in small towns isn't very good. 


At least we get to sleep in tomorrow morning and take a long, hot shower since we don't have to conserve water here at the hotel.  Yeah!  Right now it looks like we will get on the road by the end of the week.
