We weren't in a big hurry this morning but we were still up and ready by 9:00.  We only had about 125 miles to drive today but they felt like long miles for some reason.  We are headed to the southern most point in the US, Key West.  We are planning on staying on NASKW, which is a first come, first serve place.  They do have overflow sites if we need one but we hope to get a full hookup site.  If we do we will extend our stay to 5 nights.  The drive was interesting as we drove US 1 from Key to Key.

We found the base and got a full hookup site, yeah!  We are not real impressed with the campground.  The sites are really tight and not well maintained.  It doesn't look like the grass has been mowed in a long time.  We are in site 30.  It is not a waterfront site but we can see the water between the rigs in front of us.

Yes, that is the Gulf of Mexico.  We drove around the base and found the important things.  We went into the ticket office to see what tickets they have available.  Tomorrow we plan on heading into the city and taking a tour.  We drove out to the marina to see what a boat rental costs.  We are trying to decide what we want to do.  We located the little bar they have out here and found these on the lawn-

Iguanas!  At first I thought they were little alligators.  There were a bunch of them all over the lawn.

It is cooler here, or at least the breeze makes it feel cooler.  It is only suppose to get down to 80 degrees tonight.  During the day it is in the 90's.

I took some pictures of the sunset tonight.  Everyone says the sunsets around here are amazing.  I didn't see anything spectacular.  What do you think?

About 30-40 minutes after the sunset we saw this blue streak in the sky.  Don't know what it is or what caused it.  Any ideas?

I fixed a really nice dinner tonight.  We had a nice ribeye steak, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob.

That is all for now.  Enjoy all the pictures
