Larry and Penny Thompson Park

We didn't want to go back to the campground we were in at Homestead, FL so I found one about 20 miles up the road.  It was listed in Miami but it was barely in the city.  Really it was south of Miami.  The Larry and Penny Thompson Park and Campground is a county park and it very nice.  It is setup in "pods" or circles.  Each pod has 20 sites in it.  There are a lot of trees so not all of the sites will get satellite.  We were in pod 9, site 6.  It was a good site for satellite.

It seemed like many of the rigs that were there didn't have anyone in them.  The busy season here is the winter time, just like most of Florida.  We would return here.

We did drive over to a local Walmart and got a surprise.  Now we have been in many, many Walmart stores.  Most of them are setup the same way.  This one was odd in that it had a parking structure and an entrance on a second level!  It was a Super Walmart but it was a bit on the small size.  They had both an elevator and an escalator.

I have decided that the people in Florida are stupid.  They drive stupid and they even walk stupid.  You would not believe the number of accidents we have almost been in or witnessed.  People change lanes without checking, they turn left in front of people, and we even saw one person walk across the street, in the middle of a block not a corner, without looking up from the ground!  I will be really glad to get out of here.

We had a simple dinner of grilled pork chops, fried apples and green beans.  Easy to cook and not real heavy.

We did a little TV watching and then went to bed.  I hope you had a good day.
