Amarillo, TX

Oasis RV Park
Amarillo, TX

This is our favorite campground in Amarillo, even though it is outside of the city.  It is easy to get in and out of, the sites are long and level and there is room between sites.

We decided to eat dinner out and went to a place that Terry and Lydia like called Calico County.  It is good country cooking.  The food was fine as well as the service.

We looked for a car wash after leaving the restaurant but didn't find one.  My car is pretty dirty.

We also stopped at Cavender's Boot store to do a little shopping.  I picked up a couple of things.

Back at the campground we tried to use the jacuzzi but the wind has blown so much junk into them we didn't want to get in the water.

I ordered the parts we need for a couple of things in the rig.  They should be at Mom and Dad's house when we get there.

We stopped at the Flying J before hitting the campground and while we were filling up there was a car accident right in front of the station.  It didn't look like the drivers were hurt but their pickups were damaged.  It sounded a lot worse than it looked to be.

We have had a cross wind ever since we entered Texas. I am really getting tired of it and it is bothering my sinuses. I hope it ends soon.

It was a nice night.  Back on the road tomorrow.
