Branson, MO day 2

Branson, MO

It was so nice to sleep in and not have to get the rig ready to move.  We have been on the road for much longer than we are used to.  We had a few things things to do today so Bill decided not to go fishing to get them done.  We put the tire covers on as well as window covers.  This makes 4 layers of stuff on the front windows!  We have the outside covers, the inside covers, the aluminum window shade and the curtains.  This keeps the inside a bit dark but it also keeps heat out.

After getting everything buttoned up we headed over to the laundry room to get caught up.  Luckily, there was nobody there until after I had all of my stuff in dryers.  After that it got really crowded in there.

Bill and I went to the Super Walmart to pick up some groceries.  The local grocery store here in town has closed so this was the only option.  I picked up a couple of things to make for dinners this week.

Back at the rig we hung around and waited for Terry & Rick to return from fishing then had dinner.  After dinner we piled into the cars and headed over to Andy's frozen custard for dessert.  Frozen custard is a richer form of ice cream.  At Andy's they mix in different things and they also use it for sundaes.  I got a blackberry concrete.  Bill had a concrete mixed with oreo's, hot fudge, and caramel.  Yummy.

Back at the rigs it had cooled off enough that we sat outside for awhile and the dogs ran around a played.  We don't take Lola out for long periods during the day because of the heat.  But once the sun goes down it cools off and she can get some exercise.  I also gave her a bath today as she was starting to smell like dog.  I bought a dog shampoo that has no parabens and has oatmeal for dry itchy skin.  Now she smells like apples!  She likes to take a shower.  She just walked right into it when I told her to.

Here are a couple of pictures of the campground
