Needles, CA

Needles, CA

We all got up early Sunday morning to get ready to leave.  We went across the street to top off our fuel tank before leaving.

Our destination today was Fender's River Road Resort in Needles, CA.  I will say one thing for it.  It was HOT!!!  We got into the campground around noon and had a surprise when we got out of the rigs.  Terry had a tire blowout just as he got off the freeway.  I didn't get a picture of the actual tire but the sidewall was blown out.  He called Good Sam and it took most of the day and most of his paycheck to get it replaced.  At first they sent the wrong tire but when they returned they did good work putting it on,  It was our evening entertainment.

While we were waiting for the tire guys we took Bailey and Lola down to the river to cool off.  The temp today was 115 degrees!

We never let Lola get in deeper than her tummy.  And she was on a leash the whole time.

We decided to have a light dinner and we had grilled hot dog and salads for dinner.  It was so hot nobody was really hungry.

Once the sun went down to started to cool off.  It is suppose to get all the way down to 86 degrees tonight.  Tomorrow we head to Williams, AZ where it should be cooler.

Here are all the pictures.
