Sayre, OK
We got up early today as we had about 276 miles to drive. We decided not to stop at the same place the others did as they said it wasn't a good park. I picked a campground in Sayre, OK called Bobcat Creek RV. It is close to I40 so it was an easy drive to get to. The driveway needs a bit of work as there are a number of holes but I understand there has been some rain lately. Our site isn't real level either and our back jacks are sinking into the dirt. Other than that it is fine for an overnight.
We got here a little after 1:00 PM, central time. We lost an hour on this drive. It has been warm all day. The air conditioner seems to be running OK. Just a couple of days and we will be sitting for 9 days. It looks like we are going to make the concert.
Lola seems to be enduring the drive just fine. She is always excited to get out of the rig when we stop but she has learned that I need to move her bed and the floor before she can leave so she backs up and waits. But once that door opens she shoots right out,
We had steak, stuffing, tomatoes, and beets for dinner. Since it is still hot outside I try not to make things that heat up the coach too much. My toaster over works well for broiling meat and contains the heat. And the stuffing gets done in the microwave.
So we will stay in and have a quiet evening. Up early again tomorrow.
