Clinton, OK
Hargus RV Park
The wind was still blowing this morning but not too bad. It was cooler too. Our drive is only going to be about 180 miles. We made a stop just east of Amarillo for fuel. When we tried to get back on the highway we found that the entrance ramp we needed and the next one were closed. There was another highway off of I40 and it caused some concern. We wound up having to get on the highway going west, drive to the exit before the fuel stop, get off and return to the highway heading east. During this trip Terry called and we had a nice long conversation. We talked for over 2 hours!
We are now in Oklahoma. The campground we are in is called Hargus RV. It is an average campground, probably a 3 out of 5. Last year our friends stayed here but didn't get pull thru sites and they had a water issue due to a lot of rain. Well, it rained last night but there wasn't days worth of rain so everything is fine here. It is a bit warm, I think the high today is suppose to be 96 degrees. It is also not going to cool off much tonight. I am not sure if we are going to turn the air off and open windows or just leave the air on.
I fixed dinner tonight. We had steak, potatoes and a veggie. I used the toaster oven to try and keep the heat down inside the rig.
I spent some time making reservations for the next few days. We will move from here to Checotah, OK and Lake Eufaula. We will be staying at a Corps of Engineers park. It only cost us $11 a night so it is a good deal. We plan on staying there for 2 nights.
The rest of the night will be sent relaxing, Have a good night.
