North Little Rock, AR
Downtown RV Park

When we left the park this morning it was still dark at 9:15 AM!  The clouds were black.  We headed back to the highway and they got darker.  We decided to stop at the Flying J there even though we didn't really need fuel but the price was $2.079 and with our FJ discount the price came to $1.999 a gallon!  I doubt that we will see that price again.  It was worth the time to put 19 gallons into the tank.
Once we were back on the highway and down the road a bit, the skies opened up.  It was a thunderstorm.  We were treated to lightening, thunder, wind and sheets of water.  Everyone slowed down, some even pulled to the side of the road and stopped.  We pushed on and finally drove out of it.  That has been the worst weather we have hit so far.

The rest of the drive was uneventful.  We stopped for the night at the Downtown RV Park in North Little Rock.  It is a Passport America park so it only cost $12.49.  We thought about heading to the Little Rock Air Force Base but this park was easier to get into and it was for only one night.  The park is right on the Arkansas river  We are in the cheap seats.  As your site gets closer to the water, the more expensive it is.  It isn't in the greatest neighborhood but they have a gate they lock at night and it seems to be secure.

I was told that if you walk across this bridge you will be at the Clinton Presidential Library.  Since we were there a couple of years ago we decided not to go.  I don't think I could have done the walk as it is hot and muggy.

I fixed grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner.  Neither one of us was really hungry.  It also didn't heat up the rig.

We watched a bit of TV, Bill watched the US Open, and I read.  That was about it for today.  Sorry I am so late posting this.
