Fri-Sun

Fri-Sun, 7/21-7/23/2017
Dayton, OH
Wright-Patterson AFB

We stayed home on Friday to get some things done.  I had a pile of laundry and we needed to get some groceries at the Commissary.  Those things took up most of the day.  We spent the evening setting things up that we hadn't done yet.

Saturday Nick had an emergency call so we didn't go over to the kids house until around 1:00 PM.  Bill gave Rory his train set and the boys spent most of the afternoon setting that up and playing with it.  Aimee made a dinner of pulled pork with corn on the cob.  It was really good.  On our way to the house we drove by a few houses that we have selected.  That allowed us to mark off some because of the neighborhood or distance from the kids.  We have a few we want to visit with an agent to see the inside.

Sunday we decided to go to 2 open houses of places we were interested in.  One of them is definitely off the list.  It would require a lot of work to make it livable.  The other one is good and needs a little work, but the agent said they had gotten a couple of bids already so it won't be available when we are ready to buy.  But we do like the complex.  We also drove by a few others to check out the neighborhoods and found a couple we like.

We picked up a to-go dinner order from a local Bolivian place.  It was chicken with side dishes and was good.  We played with Rory and the trains for a bit before heading home for the night.  Where does he get all that energy?

That is all for now.  Bye
