On Thursday, in the morning, we had an appointment to see one of the condo's we were interested in. We had planned on seeing two but one was already under contract. The layout of the condo was good but the inside would need a total redo. It was a bit old so it needed all new appliances, painting and wallpaper removal, the carpet was ok to start but would need replacing soon, and the kitchen needed to have the floor replaced. It was at the top end of our our price range and would need about $20k to get the work done. We will keep it as a possibility. We realize that it probably not be on the market when we are ready to move but we will see.
In the afternoon we didn't really do much. It rained again so we stayed in.
On Friday, Aimee called and said the weather was going to be good so we decided to go to the Cincinnati Zoo. Aimee has the annual pass and could take one adult as a guest. We had gone by the ticket office and purchased a senior ticket with military discount for Bill. It was only $11. We had a good time while there. We got to see 3 shows, which Rory had not seen yet, so that was fun. I rented a scooter because the zoo has a lot of hills and I wasn't sure I could walk the entire thing. Good thing I did because it was a long day. We got to see the baby hippo, Fiona. She isn't out a lot but she was today. We also saw the barnyard show, the birds show and the cheetah show.
After the zoo we headed back to the house and Nick came in just behind us. We decided to go out to dinner instead of cooking, we were all tired. We drove over to BJ's Brewhouse for dinner. We all had a good time and the waiter was good.
After that Bill and I headed home. We didn't stay up late as we were worn out! Rory has a lot of energy!
So that is all for now. We have a couple of things planned for the weekend so I will post more later.
