Dayton, OH
Wright-Patterson AFB
We had a busy weekend with the kids. On Saturday we went over to the kids house since Nick was off work. Nick, Bill, Rory and I went to the park to let Rory play. We took Lola with us and she really had a good time running around. Aimee made dinner and it was really good.
On Sunday we decided to go to Carillon Historical Park in Dayton. We stopped by the grocery store and picked up supplies for a picnic lunch. We enjoyed our picnic just inside the park at the picnic area. After returning the picnic supplies to the cars we toured the park. They have moved a lot of historical buildings and things into the complex. There are also some slides for the kids. We spent a few hours here and really enjoyed ourselves.
Monday we spent the day at home. We had a list of things to do but didn't get most of them done. We keep putting that off.
On Tuesday Aimee called and asked if we wanted to accompany her and Rory to a local shopping center. She needs to start buying school clothes for Rory and there is a small playground here. We also got frozen yogurt. We need to learn these places if we are going to live here.
I spent some time working on the financial report for the Rustlers. That is done and I will send to Mary tomorrow.
On Wednesday we headed over to the kids house and babysat Rory while Aimee went grocery shopping. We played ring toss, trains, hide and seek, games and watched a little TV. That little boy can sure wear me out. After we returned home I defrosted the freezer and Bill cleaned the shower. I looked at plane flights for the kids to come in Oct but I need to be with them when I buy the tickets so we will talk later this week. I think we will go to bed early tonight since we are worn out.
