Pottawattamie County Fairgrounds Campground

The refrigerator was cooled down this morning and the air conditioner runs much quieter so we packed up and headed out.  Our first stop was across the street to fuel up.  It was a nice drive down small country roads before we got on I35 then I80.  We had about 210 miles to do today.  We did stop for a but at a rest are to let Lola out to walk for a bit.

We are stopped for the night at the Pottawattamie County Fairgrounds.  There is a small campground here.  It has full hookups but only 30 amp.  Luckily it is a cooler day so air conditioning is not needed.  This campground doesn't take reservations, it is first come, first serve.  It isn't crowded today so we got right in.  Oh, and it s $20 a night.  Only about 1.5 miles south of I80.  A good overnight stop.

I decided to make spaghetti for dinner tonight.  We have pretty much eaten all the food we had in the ice chests.  We put everything else into the fridge and cleaned out the ice chests.

Here are some pictures of the fairground.

Lola has adapted to travel again.  She still tries to be the first one out when we stop and open the door.  Here is what she looks like most of the rest of the time.

She won't get into her bed but will lie on the quilt Lydia made me.

That is all for now.  Have a good night.
