Catching Up

Saturday - Wednesday 11/11-11/15/2017
Amarillo, TX - Waynesville, MO

Boy, I haven't posted in awhile.  I have no excuse except that I was not into it.  We have traveled most of the way to Ohio now.  On Saturday and Sunday we stayed at Oasis RV in Amarillo, TX.  We like this park and took advantage of the rest time to do laundry and get a few groceries.  We also went out to breakfast on Sunday.  We tried to go to the Ye Olde Pancake Station but it was really crowded.  I had seen an IHOP off the freeway so we went back to that.  The food was good and when we got there there wasn't a wait to get in.  When we left there certainly was!  I get Texans like their Sunday morning breakfast out.  We started having trouble with our DirecTv here and wasn't able to get help from them.  Since it is connected on an RV they said they wouldn't come out.  We finally got it working but we don't know how or why.

On Monday we headed out and spent the night in Weatherford, OK.  We are trying to stay in parks with pull-thru sites so that we don't have to unhook the Suzuki.  We stayed at new park there and the site was nice and long and level. We will return.  It was called Wanderlust Crossings.  We would return to this park.

Tuesday night saw us up the toll road in Big Cabin, OK.  We stayed at Big Cabin RV which is really a small park behind an RV/Truck service place.  But it was level, clean and had full hookups.  Lola liked the cows next door.  We also were able to play Frizbee with her for awhile in the grass.  Only big problem was that it is very close to the train tracks but the trains didn't run after 11:00, or at least I didn't hear them.

Wednesday found up in Missouri.  We are in Waynesville at the Lampliter RV.  It is an older place and the sites are a bit tight but there are new owners who are working on the place.  We would stay here again.

It is now Thursday morning and we are taking off from here and headed to Effingham, IL.  We wills spend 2 nights there to get laundry done and rest a bit.  Then on to Ohio on Saturday.

Escrow on the house closed so we now own a house in Ohio and are no longer homeless!  Yeah.  We will move in sometime next week.  It is getting a bit cold to stay in the RV.
